Therapeutic Approach
Dr. Andrea develops creative interventions influenced by Positive Psychology, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She recently started incorporating animal-assisted therapy into her work, and when appropriate, her bunny Honeybunz joins her.
Dr. Andrea earned her Psy.D. from Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, NH. She received a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch. She started her career supporting children and teens on the autism spectrum and has worked as a consultant for schools and non-profit agencies serving individuals living with a range of mental health and developmental challenges. She has experience as a group therapist at an inpatient behavioral health center that provides acute psychiatric care to children and adults. Dr. Andrea has been in private practice for over fifteen years. She is excited to welcome clients to her new office located at 18 Main St. in Concord, MA.
Dr. Andrea enjoys working with clients to improve their self-esteem and to develop skills to better manage anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation. She has a special interest in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals on the autism spectrum.
